Loan Modification Program Series 4: JPMorgan Chase & Co. Program
Chase is expanding its mortgage modification program in an effort to allow more families to keep their homes. They are extending its program to Washington Mutual (WaMu) and EMC Mortgage Corp. The program begins January 31, 2009 and will be in effect for 2 years. The program offers:
- pre-qualified modification terms in writing
New regional centers, more counselors, and expanded loan alternatives-
- New independent review process to head off unnecessary foreclosures
- No additional Chase-owned loans will be put into the foreclosure process while enhancements are implemented.
Eligibility:
- Must be 1st mortgage and must be a loan owned by JPMorgan Chase
- Must be primary residence and owner occupied
- Applies to borrowers with adjustable-rate mortgages (ARMs) including subprime and pay-option ARMs
